Who We Are
Schools To Give Hope was created out of a love for youth. It started with a pea size dream and quickly expanded into something grandiose. The purpose of S2GH is to partner with groups, individuals, communities and in some cases start from scratch, in bringing education to children everywhere. The primary focus to meet that purpose is to establish hubs in countries or work with organizations that have established these already. These hubs will be used as schools for the local community they are located in as well as a resource to train teachers and in return send those teachers to other villages to start new schools. S2GH will help provide training programs, technological resources, and funding to make sure these teachers are well trained and ready to be sent. S2GH will also provide funding to develop, build, and work with local communities in building schools that fit the needs of the villages and towns. One of the biggest support Schools To Give Hope will provide is encouraging an ownership mindset for these communities so that the schools are able to fully self support once they have been started. The power of education along with a desire to achieve is what will be difference making in these areas. One of our founding principles is to remain as much as we can outside of the spotlight so it really is a local community effort. Funding received by Schools To Give Hope will be used strictly to help the above causes as voted on by our board. Funds will be used to provide the resources necessary to train teachers, resources to build and maintain school buildings, and any small overhead that is needed to keep S2GH running. S2GH is binded by our bylaws and we will always hold ourselves accountable to those bylaws with the utmost respect and dignity we can.
T. J. Burget - Executive Director
I have such a heart for younger generations. I am inspired daily at the new ideas and thoughts that they express. My dream is that S2GH will be a platform that can be used so that generations will be able to have the proper education they deserve. Children should have a chance to be educated, dream big dreams, have hope for a brighter future, and an opportunity to succeed in life. S2GH will be used to make those possibilities become realities. My other vision is that S2GH will be used to keep children safe and protected from child labor and being forced into human trafficking as studies have shown that the number one prevention of child labor and trafficking is education. |
Chad Garrison - Vice President
Husband to Lindsay, and father of 3, he currently resides in Indianapolis, IN, and serves as Lead Pastor of Illuminate Church. Chad has served in ministry since 2001 in roles as multimedia director, youth pastor, associate pastor, senior pastor and also currently serves as the NextGen Director of the Heartland District of the Foursquare Church. Chad loves Jesus, family, sports (football & basketball in particular), the great state of Indiana, leadership development, discipleship and is 100% geek. No apologies. "I jumped at the chance to partner with Schools to Give Hope because it directly reaches and impacts our Next Generation. Children and youth are world-changers, and I love the mission to reach an overlooked population—all the while helping them discover the very reason they were created and purposed!” |
Chris Radke - Secretary
My name Chris Radke from Clinton, Iowa. To me S2GH represents a passion which grew from a desire to see change that was birthed from an amazing man, TJ. My family and I are huge Thaddeus fans and want to encourage him and push him further in anyway possible. I believe that S2GH is going to be an amazing way in which love will be shown in this world and I am honored to be a small part of it. |
Kevin and Angie Lash - Board Members
It is an honor and privilege to serve on the board of Schools to Give Hope. We believe in the heartfelt mission of providing education for children throughout the world. Education opens doors to limitless possibilities… a hope and future! Both Kevin and Angie Lash have dedicated their lives to the teaching of children and adults. Kevin has been both teacher and Supervisor of Education in the Federal Bureau of Prisons for over 20 years. Angie has taught elementary school for nearly 20 years. Angie has witnessed the joy of children discovering they can read and write for the first time. Such skill opens a world of opportunities for children! We are excited to serve and support Schools to Give Hope. |
Brad and Christine Lahr - Board Members
Brad and Christine bring a wealth of knowledge to the team in their background of Architecture and Engineering. They both have a strong desire to assist in areas of the world that need help and both believe strongly in the value of education and what it brings.
